Questions

Are my images uploaded?
No. PDF-IO builds the PDF inside your browser. Your photos and scans stay on your device.
Which image formats work?
JPG and PNG work in every browser. WebP and GIF work in current browsers, and HEIC photos from iPhones work in Safari.
Will my photos be rotated correctly?
Yes. PDF-IO reads the orientation your camera stored in the photo, so portrait photos stay upright.
Is image quality reduced?
JPG and PNG images are embedded unchanged. Other formats, and photos that need rotating, are converted to high-quality JPG first.
How do I make the PDF smaller?
Photos from phones are large. After creating the PDF, run it through Compress PDF to shrink it.
